Now I am not destiny fan or blizzard fan not at all but the game is not as bad as I thought. That is a great achievement, actually blizzard is only publisher, and game is made by bungie and then ported to pc by some other company so it is kind of crazy.

I was worrying about the company that did pc port because I never heard about it before and you know pc ports of console games are often extremely bad, but not this time.

I was surprised how smooth frame rate was and it never dropped, game had reflections, shadows, effects, all kinds of stuff that I usually disable to get stable frame rate but not this time. I didn't even decrease settings it was just perfect. Game looks almost as good as new doom, but only at dark, on sunny map it looked worse some why but still not bad especially for cooperative shooter.

As for gameplay I started the campaign and it was great, maybe too easy but I liked aiming recoil nearly everything about shooting but sadly campaign is extremely short. Perhaps some people would dislike aim assist even on pc but I guess it is fine as long as you can disable it, but that is for pve only there should be no such thing in pvp. Great part is that you cannot fail, respawn is always available and you don't have to worry.

Then I went to pvp and that part of game is extremely disappointing. I am not going to deny that I was bad but game modes are boring capture points is very old we have seen that in ut99 and the other game mode is somewhat middle between rush in battlefield and csgo since you need to defend two objectives or kill all enemies and you cannot respawn unless teammate helps you. Both maps are small and it is only 4vs4. No teamwork at all maybe because it is still beta but still it is not something you want to experience in team based shooter. And super powers, I hate super powers in competitive games it is like they are made for those who can't just play a game and need some real help. Basically same problem that overwatch has, it all comes down to how good you did ultimate.

Then I went to raid, map didn't look as good as it did in campaign but had one very cool location with spinning excavator or whatever was that, really great idea I hope there will be more such creative ideas. Before the boss you need to get to him first and some why map had a lot of jumps, I thought 3d platformer days are gone but looks like not, every jump is easy yet you get tired of such amount of jumps, and that is terrible for raid since people will play it a lot.

As for the boss itself well he is kind of boring, has few attacks but at least for me they were hard to predict and sometimes he just pushed my character off platform which resulted in instant death even with high hp. Boss had kind of several stages but with very little difference. It is interesting that people spam powers in multiplayer but they completely ignore them at raid even so it could help a lot, tanks don't tank, and healers don’t heal.

Whole class stuff is kind of bad, I mean really bad. There is no good way to see if your teammate needs heal, apparently there is no agro mechanic yet there is a tank and medic. Both shield and heal are stationary while many heroes rely on movement. And especially on that raid you had to jump a lot.

Overall balance is poor, one gun is great other is pathetic. There is nearly useless attribute called movement which increases your movement speed how useful is that compared to more hp or faster hp regeneration? The hunter class does have "dodge" as special ability which only reloads weapon instead of heal that warlock has or shield that titan has. And it is not even dark souls dodge, you still get damage and the dodge is slow. There is some kind of talent tree but half of it is unavailable during beta and not much could be changed.

During the beta I had one error which was basically a server crash but that is what beta is for, stress test on servers before launch right?

Should you buy this game now? Of course not, just wait for release.

If you want competitive shooter this game is not for you.

If you don't like grind probably this game is not for you.

If you want a cooperative shooter game then you should at least check this game, however price tag is insane right now.
